WHD celebrations on occasion of World health day by DGHS Haryana
Panchkula , April 7-- kirti gupta-- A state wide event was organized by State TB cell to Reteriate National TB elimination program by Dr. Veena Singh DGHS Haryana, Chaired by H’ble ACS Health Haryana Sh. Rajiv Arora IAS in presence of W/S MDNHM Haryana Sh. Prabhjot Singh IAS the event was Hybrid with virtual participation of stakeholders such as district officers & officials of Health Haryana, IMA members from all over the state, Rotary members and other NGO’s.
Dr. Veena Singh informed that Health department is putting a tough fight despite COVID pandemic & National TB elimination program is being boosted to resolve health in equities amongst patients. Building a fairer Healthier world is theme for WHD celebrations this year.
Sh. Prabhjot Singh MD NHM Haryana appreciated the achievements of the state in health sector and has been dedicatedly supporting the department in achieving the goals and targets. W/MD-NHM, focused to involve more and more private sector for general public to avail the health services free of cost. During Covid Pandemic situation all the Health workers did and still performing great job. So all should get together stressed and “Build fairer a healthier world”.
Sh. Rajiv Arora ACS health Haryana was the chief guest on the occasion. He said that all employees of health have worked with courage & conviction during COVID 19 pandemic and TB program has not been left behind despite all challenges. W/ACS, Health said that a robust mechanism has been setup in all the districts of Haryana. He also briefed about Ayushmaan scheme and Health and Wellness centre during VC on World Health Day. The benefits and protocols be adopted in this scheme. W/ACS, Health focused to implement strategy and various health components into Public and Private sector for effectively implementation.
Keynote Speaker Dr. Srinivasan from WHO Regional head office highlighted the theme & projects undertaken in Haryana for Health equity & reducing gaps between disease & good health.
To keep fit & prevent NCD one should eat healthy, talk healthy & walk healthy. Sh. Kulwinder Singh Master Chef from Bawa Global synergy shared the secret of healthy diet & recipes. Puppet show by Sunil Bhatt for social advocacy and awareness was sponsored by NGO Rotary Chandigarh Midtown. He shared the story of illness to Health which is the real wealth with great art & style.
ADGHS Haryana Dr. V. K. Bansal informed that virtual participation through all stakeholders govt. private doctors & NGO will give voice to the campaign all over the state.
